Introducing MaxButtons Pro Version 7.5 with Gutenberg Compatibility!
plus WordPress Share Buttons Version 1.6!
Howdy, folks. Since we last touched base with you about MaxButtons 7.4 we’ve been busy building new features for you.
This time, we’re checking in with updates to both the core MaxButtons plugin, as well as WordPress Share Buttons, our free social sharing extension for MaxButtons.
Here’s what’s new in MaxButtons 7.5 and WordPress Share Buttons 1.6…
MaxButtons 7.5 New Features
If you haven’t heard, WordPress 5.0 will replace the current WordPress text editor with a brand new block-based editor codenamed Gutenberg. To make sure you and your buttons can hit the ground running when the new Gutenberg editor launches we have added Gutenberg compatibility to both the free and Pro versions of MaxButtons.
You’ll get a new MaxButtons Block in the Gutenberg interface that lets you insert any one of your buttons as well as customize its text, URL, and other settings.
We also added a new button icon in the TinyMCE interface that you can use to insert buttons with the current TinyMCE editor.
And MaxButtons Pro users can now also set Google Analytics event data via MaxButtons shortcodes.
Additionally we added some behind-the-scenes tweaks to make MaxButtons’ performance even leaner and meaner.
WordPress Share Buttons 1.6 New Features
The biggest new feature in WordPress Share Buttons 1.6 involves the Email sharing button (this is a MaxButtons Pro feature). You’ll now be able to customize the default email subject and title that the button uses when a visitor shares via email.
MaxButtons Pro users of Share Buttons can also now use custom share icons, instead of the default icons for each network.Best
