MaxButtons Version 9! Now with a Link Manager!

Happy New Year! We hope your holidays were wonderfully festive and that you are all well.

It is amazing to share with you that this month is the 10th! anniversary. I remember when Dave first said that he had an idea for MaxButtons as we were working on another plugin. That’s 10,000 customers ago. Since Bas took over the development MaxButtons and MaxButtons Pro have continued to be the best WordPress button plugin you can use. I want to personally thank you for your support on behalf of the entire Max Foundry team for your support of MaxButtons.

I am also really pleased to announce the release of MaxButtons Pro Version 9. The biggest feature addition in this release is our Link Manager.

Link Manager

You’re now able to see which buttons you have, which URLS are in use, and where they are in use! After upgrading to the latest version, you’ll see a new tab appear in your MaxButtons Pro Dashboard.

Under the “MaxButtons” sub tab you’ll find all your buttons and the URL associated in the button editor. The views and clicks represent the default URL only.

The “Links” subtab is where you’ll find all links loaded via MaxButtons PRO. This includes URLs defined by shortcodes once they have been loaded once. You can also see the last time any button was loaded on the frontend and/or registered a view.

Note: A link must be viewed at least once (get one visitor) before it will show. Pages without visitors may not show up.

In the “Settings” subtab you need to enable logging to start tracking. You can also exclude logged in users, enable anonymous tracking and even ignore buttons that are connected via Google Analytics, to keep your metrics clean.

MaxButtons Pro V9 also comes with various bug fixes and general improvements, so don’t delay, upgrade today! You can update confidently, directly through your WordPress Dashboard under plugins. If an update is not available, simply log in to your MaxButtons account, renew any licenses where required and then recheck for the update in WordPress.

Again, thank you for all of your support over the past 10 years,
